We went to LaPaz Mx and we found tuna, this lure hooked up in every foamer we trolled through within 20 seconds! Absolutely killed it! Great purchase!

Izorine First String mono in blue is my go to mono or offshore top shots.
From 30 to 100 lb it's the only thing I use. And recommend mono on the Royal Polaris. I use it on all my long range trips out of San Diego.

The RonZ has been the hot lure for tuna in the Northeast this season. I ordered this lure to replace one that was lost. That one was eaten by a 6' dusky shark and when it came to the boat, we could not see the lure. It was fully inside the shark's mouth. How the leader survived the fight is a mystery, but we decided to cut the leader, rather than trying to retrieve the lure. We're hoping the next fish, on this new lure, will be a tuna, not a shark, and we'll get the lure back to use again.

Very, very well made rods. I love the 60/40 two piece set-up that eliminates weak points in the middle of the rod during hard fights. The backbone on this rod is insane and should have no problem hauling in triple digit GT's or other hard fighting fish. Shipping and service was top notch. Money we'll spent.

Avet Raptors are as good as it gets (in my opinion) when you need a reel that will haul a big grouper off the rocks or pull double-duty and troll a big jethead on the shotgun rod (when out trolling for mahi and tuna). Kicks a$$, takes-names….

Initially the price is what got my attention, I ordered one and when I received it I noticed it's almost the size of my Avet HXJ raptor which is one of my favorite overall big yellowtail/ Tuna fishing reels when using jigs of live bait. I started playing around with the 15T reel and noticed it has a super ultra smooth free spool and quality of the build/machining is outstanding, so I literally ordered another one, that's how impressed I was. Highly recommend this reel if you typically go after larger fish and use 80lb braid with a short leader.

Haven’t fished the reel yet but it feels high quality just like the Makaira I bought at the same time.. can’t wait to get it on the water
