Great for BFT jigging all night … big spool means higher jig speed. Massive drag and 400+ yards of 80# braid. 2 speed and power handle when you need to grind. Butter smooth.
This reel is great. It looks good and is super smooth. The gear ratio and high inches per handle turn are nice for deep California rockfishing to 600'. Just put the rod on the rail and wind them up! I got the 40 size and it is not too large or heavy and it holds a ton of braid. The handle gave me a blister after winding up from 600' multiple times. I will be getting the Gomexus replacement with the T bar handle. Thanks Mark and Sergey!

This is my second slow-pitch rod (earlier purchase is a Shimano) and I really enjoy this rod. The inline concept is interesting and I agree that it feels like it loads the entire blank better than a traditional rod with guides. One drawback to fishing this on a party boat .....is that everyone and their brother want to talk to you about it being that it "looks funny" without guides lol

Been using these for a number of years. Always worked well. Just wish you had a better supply of the scrambled egg color.
This rod RGPXJ 6405 with 100# braid is easy to jig with 400 gr. slow pitch jig, caught 3 day limit of bluefins, thank you.
Love how this reel is a smaller 16 without losing its square shape. Light, easily fits in your hand and has plenty of drag for 60-80#
What a great reel, Japanese Engineering at its finest... I haven't had an opportunity to fish with it yet, but the fit and finish is perfect, and it is incredibly smooth. I have used Daiwa reels for many years, and I'm Looking forward to many with this one.

I live in Southern CA and the rod was shipped out and delivered to me the next day. Came packaged in a cardboard tube with lots of bubble wrap. No flaws seen. Rod itself feels great, alps seat is a little heavy, but very comfortable. Paired up with a Talica 10 for the ultimate #30 set up. Can’t wait to pull on some tuna later this month.
Works good & sensitivity is good with live bait. Also will fit in your checked baggage, so no freight fee when coming back from Cabo.
