Do you offer free shipping?
We offer free domestic shipping on most orders over $150 subtotal. This excludes oversized and bulky items such as rods, blanks, gaffs, some tackle boxes, lobster nets, landing nets and other large items. Any 1 piece rod over 7'10" in length often incurs the biggest oversize fees charged by domestic shipping companies although we do have lower rates via other carriers on the West Coast. Any additional shipping fees will be automatically calculated at checkout before any billing is done.
What countries do you ship to?
We currently ship products within the US and to almost every country in the world, covering all available destination via UPS and DHL. International shipping times depend on the products and destination. Shipping rates are automatically calculated at checkout, for most countries we also collect Duties and Taxes and prepay them so you do not have to deal with the carrier or customs.
How long will it take to get my order?
Standard shipping can take 3-8 business days depending on location and order volume. If you have requested spooling on your reel or rigging on your lures then it could take an additional day or two. Next day & 2 day shipping is available on most domestic orders (for an additional charge). Orders placed after 12pm Pacific Standard Time will be processed the next business day.
What carriers do you ship with?
We work with UPS, FedEx, US Postal Service, GLS and DHL. When your order qualifies for free shipping or has a rod that qualifies for discounted shipping we reserve the right to choose which carrier it is sent with, otherwise you can pick the service you want. UPS Ground ranges from 1 to 7 day delivery, USPS Priority Mail is typically 1-3 days but is not a guaranteed express service, and USPS Ground Advantage takes roughly 3-7 business days. Longer rods are generally sent via GLS unless otherwise specified, this service ranges from 1 - 10 days.

The Lupus "For Area Trout" series is Yamaga Blanks' answer to managed-pond trout fishing from every angle. Six models cover the full range of the area-trout game: three RETRIEVE models built for winding fishing, two MOTION models for working lures with active rod action, and one Special Task model for a different way of tempting big, wary pond trout. Whatever the pond throws at you — clear or stained water, active or spooked fish, spoons, cranks, or minnows — there's a Lupus tuned for it.
Each Lupus is a two-piece rod on a high-modulus carbon blank, finished with Fuji SiC-S stainless-frame K-guides and a Fuji reel seat. The blanks are light and sensitive with model-specific tapers, so the tip loads for tiny bites while the belly still drives the hookset — exactly what ultralight trout line and fine hooks demand.
Pick your model by how you like to fish and the lures you throw; details for each are below. Yamaga Blanks rods come with a 2 year US warranty.
Lupus 61STT
"A final weapon for capturing trophy-size, inactive trout through static and dynamic lure action."
The premium Special Task model, built for sight-fishing the big, spooked trout that hang in managed ponds and coaxing a bite out of them by hand. Its extra power lets you control minnows under heavy drag and squeeze every bit of action out of a stop-and-go retrieve; by mixing up approaches and trace lines, you can talk a stubborn fish into eating. Built on a 99.8% carbon blank with a Fuji DPS16 seat — a clear step up from the rest of the series.
Recommended reel size: Daiwa LT2500C–3000C

Lupus 61RM
"The all-rounder of the series — ideal for every kind of retrieve, from shallow-running minnows to stop-and-go with bottom cranks."
The most versatile Lupus, with a regular-taper blank that casts a wide range of lure types and weights. The sensitive tip picks up the subtlest bites while a moderately stiff belly drives a quick hookset and cuts down on missed fish. A great first rod in the lineup — and the one you'll reach for most.
Recommended reel size: Daiwa LT1000–2000

Lupus 511RF
"The finesse model for ultra-thin line and super-light lures — micro spoons and small cranks."
A downsized take on the 61RM for when the fish want it small and slow. The sensitive, flexible tip-to-belly hooks the faintest takes on a slow crawl, and the forgiving blank cushions the load so ultra-thin line doesn't pop and fine hooks don't straighten. The butt still has enough backbone to finish the fight.
Recommended reel size: Daiwa LT1000–2000

Lupus 66RS
"The sharpest model in the series — built to bury the hook on high-drag cranks and long-distance spoons."
The flexible tip gives lures a looser, livelier action on the retrieve and telegraphs the lightest bites, while a stiffer belly powers through the resistance of deep-pulling cranks to set the hook cleanly. At 6'6", it's the model made for reaching out and covering water.
Recommended reel size: Daiwa LT1000–2500C

Lupus 62MB
"A high-response model for working bottom lures and metal vibrations with a bottom-bouncing rhythm."
A stiffer blank with a bouncy tip lets you fish "lift and fall" with metal vibes in a clean rhythm, and that same stiffness sets the hook the instant a fish loads up. It also snaps bottom-type lures into action on the first turn of a stop-and-go. The Motion model for anglers who fish the bottom.
Recommended reel size: Daiwa LT1000–2500C

Lupus 60MTR
"A twitch-and-retrieve model for anglers chasing big rainbow and brown trout with active rod action."
Built with the stiffness to twitch a minnow hard and bring it to life, then keep twitching without wearing you out. The blank's sensitivity and backbone drive the hook home in a trout's tough mouth — the Motion model for bigger fish and more aggressive presentations.
Recommended reel size: Daiwa LT1000–2500C
