Delivery & Shipping

Do you offer free shipping?

We offer free domestic shipping on most orders over $150 subtotal. This excludes oversized and bulky items such as rods, blanks, gaffs, some tackle boxes, lobster nets, landing nets and other large items. Any 1 piece rod over 7'10" in length often incurs the biggest oversize fees charged by domestic shipping companies although we do have lower rates via other carriers on the West Coast. Any additional shipping fees will be automatically calculated at checkout before any billing is done.

What countries do you ship to?

We currently ship products within the US and to almost every country in the world, covering all available destination via UPS and DHL. International shipping times depend on the products and destination. Shipping rates are automatically calculated at checkout, for most countries we also collect Duties and Taxes and prepay them so you do not have to deal with the carrier or customs.

How long will it take to get my order?

Standard shipping can take 3-8 business days depending on location and order volume. If you have requested spooling on your reel or rigging on your lures then it could take an additional day or two. Next day & 2 day shipping is available on most domestic orders (for an additional charge). Orders placed after 12pm Pacific Standard Time will be processed the next business day.

What carriers do you ship with?

We work with UPS, FedEx, US Postal Service, GLS and DHL. When your order qualifies for free shipping or has a rod that qualifies for discounted shipping we reserve the right to choose which carrier it is sent with, otherwise you can pick the service you want. UPS Ground ranges from 1 to 7 day delivery, USPS Priority Mail is typically 1-3 days but is not a guaranteed express service, and USPS Ground Advantage takes roughly 3-7 business days. Longer rods are generally sent via GLS unless otherwise specified, this service ranges from 1 - 10 days.

Prop 65 Warning ⚠

The Aquila series is dedicated to being light and powerful, specifically made for targeting hard pulling species like yellowtail, amberjack, GT and dogtooth tuna. These rods work great for a variety of stickbait sizes but also have plenty of recoil to work most poppers even the larger cup GT poppers. Since these have more graphite than the Big Tuna series they will have more recoil and lift at the expense of a bit more fatigue due to the shorter expected fight time.

All of these rods are 70/30 split 2 piece joined at the end of the grip, and they feature Fuji Titanium SiC running guides and tip to keep the weight down when casting. Due to the extra carbon in the blank you'll want to use these rods at a 45 degree angle or less unlike the Big Tuna which is rated for 60 degrees due to them having more glass to be comfortable during a long fight.

Aquila MST 85-7+

This is a model for anglers targeting supersize Kingfish with the use of 40g~ 120g lures. Although it is categorized as a power model, the lightness of the rod will allow anglers to cast all day long and freely pursue the lightning speed Kingfish. As the bending point transfers towards the angler once hooked up, anglers will be able to conduct a steady fight by countering your body weight against the fish by lowering your hips and loading the rod even when you’re almost against the bow railing. Furthermore, the length of the rod will also assist you when conducting long casts towards feeding tuna.(Previous name: Aquila 85H+

Aquila MST 711-8+

This model is especially designed for anglers who face the dorado pattern, requiring them to utilize large lures up to 180g for the supersize Kingfish. It is also ideal for those anglers who like to go head to head with powerful fish in shallow areas. The underlying power of the rod also allows you to utilize this rod for the GT game. Compared to the ordinary GT rods, this rod will bend over more naturally.

Aquila MST 82-9+

In the ever evolving Kingfish game, the need to use large lures has increased with the target feeding on large size bait-fish. The MST82-9+ was designed to enable anglers to fully-cast lures exceeding 240mm while easily controlling and maneuvering these mammoth lures. Furthermore, the Aquila MST series are especially designed to tenaciously bend-in while demonstrating outstanding lifting power when fighting against monstrous Kings in rough terrain and gushing currents. Although we have designed the rod with easy utility, it is the strongest of the series and one will require ample body strength and experience to maximize its true potential.
Having said that, we are confident that this rod will help anglers in the toughest of conditions, against the biggest of fish while using these large lures. We present this rod for those who are seeking monster-class Kings around the world.
