Delivery & Shipping
Delivery & Shipping
Do you offer free shipping?
We offer free domestic shipping on most orders over $150 subtotal. This excludes oversized and bulky items such as rods, blanks, gaffs, some tackle boxes, lobster nets, landing nets and other large items. Any 1 piece rod over 7'10" in length often incurs the biggest oversize fees charged by domestic shipping companies although we do have lower rates via other carriers on the West Coast. Any additional shipping fees will be automatically calculated at checkout before any billing is done.
What countries do you ship to?
We currently ship products within the US and to almost every country in the world, covering all available destination via UPS and DHL. International shipping times depend on the products and destination. Shipping rates are automatically calculated at checkout, for most countries we also collect Duties and Taxes and prepay them so you do not have to deal with the carrier or customs.
How long will it take to get my order?
Standard shipping can take 3-8 business days depending on location and order volume. If you have requested spooling on your reel or rigging on your lures then it could take an additional day or two. Next day & 2 day shipping is available on most domestic orders (for an additional charge). Orders placed after 12pm Pacific Standard Time will be processed the next business day.
What carriers do you ship with?
We work with UPS, FedEx, US Postal Service, GLS and DHL. When your order qualifies for free shipping or has a rod that qualifies for discounted shipping we reserve the right to choose which carrier it is sent with, otherwise you can pick the service you want. UPS Ground ranges from 1 to 7 day delivery, USPS Priority Mail is typically 1-3 days but is not a guaranteed express service, and USPS Ground Advantage takes roughly 3-7 business days. Longer rods are generally sent via GLS unless otherwise specified, this service ranges from 1 - 10 days.

The Seaborg G800MJ is the standup electric — the one you hold and fight with, not the one that lives in a rod holder. Daiwa calls it the “King Monster,” and the pitch is simple: the same MEGATORQUE-G motor and 79 lb of drag as the bigger G1200M, in a body that's 220 g lighter and built around a one-thumb JOG lever, so you pump the rod and work the fish while the motor does the hauling.
MEGATORQUE-G power, MEGATWIN gears
The 2024 MEGATORQUE-G motor sits in an aluminum housing that sheds its heat, backed by a 3-year / 300 km motor warranty. MEGATWIN gives the motor true two-speed gearing — a high side for line speed (170 m/min no-load) and a low side (60 m/min) with the torque for dead-weight lifts — shifting automatically under load or manually at a button. Momentary winding power is a serious 350 lb (159 kgf).

The drag took the biggest upgrade
The ATD drag now runs nine large carbon washers (up from seven on the previous 800MJ) with an aluminum drag radiator pulling heat off the stack: 79 lb (36 kg) of max drag that starts smooth and stays smooth deep into a long fight. A MAGSEALED ball bearing seals the spool shaft where salt normally gets its start, among 22 bearings total.

Built for the standup game
The JOG POWER LEVER is now machined aluminum instead of resin — better grip with wet fingers — and runs winding speed and clutch under one thumb while your other hand stays on the rod. An aluminum fall-brake dial controls the drop, the oversized 6 mm line guide passes heavy connections, and hand-cranking goes through a large round knob on an 85 mm arm at 24.8" per turn (2.9:1).

The electric brains
Auto jigging with one-, two-, three-step and random patterns; adjustable auto-stop with approach alarms; chum timer, timer winding, and constant-speed mode; depth alarms and 10 m depth revision; a fishing-history log; and a glare-resistant dot LCD that reads in feet or meters, in nine languages, with an always-on counter lamp and an overload-protection breaker. It also pairs with Daiwa's Bluetooth REMOTE JOG (sold separately) so the reel can be run from across the deck.
Like every electric it wants a dedicated battery: rated DC 12–24 V (usable 12–26 V) — Daiwa's Super Lithium or Tough Battery series is the recommended source, and it will not run on household AC.

Electric reel power & care basics
Electric reel power & care basics
Power. Electric reels run on DC battery power only — never household AC, and never a 24V boat system unless the reel is rated for it (this reel's rating is in the spec table). A dedicated, waterproof reel battery — Daiwa's Super Lithium or Tough Battery series, or a marine deep-cycle — beats running off the boat, whose voltage swings can trip the reel's protection circuit mid-fight. Use only a lithium pack the maker specifies for your model.
If it slows down or stops: it's usually the battery, not the reel. Below about 10V the reel restricts its winding power, and an overload breaker pauses winding for a few seconds under an excessive load or heat spike, then resumes. A cord connected with reversed +/- polarity won't conduct at all.
Care. Rinse gently in cool fresh water (under 30°C/86°F) — mild dish soap and a soft sponge for grime, no solvents or stiff brushes — then dry completely, loosen the drag, and drain the handle knob before storage. Store the power cord disconnected and treat it as a consumable: Daiwa recommends a new cord every two years or roughly 60 outings. And don't open the reel up yourself — the electronics aren't user-serviceable.
