Delivery & Shipping

Do you offer free shipping?

We offer free domestic shipping on most orders over $150 subtotal. This excludes oversized and bulky items such as rods, blanks, gaffs, some tackle boxes, lobster nets, landing nets and other large items. Any 1 piece rod over 7'10" in length often incurs the biggest oversize fees charged by domestic shipping companies although we do have lower rates via other carriers on the West Coast. Any additional shipping fees will be automatically calculated at checkout before any billing is done.

What countries do you ship to?

We currently ship products within the US and to almost every country in the world, covering all available destination via FedEx Express and UPS. International shipping times depend on the products and destination and rates are automatically calculated at checkout.

How long will it take to get my order?

Standard shipping can take 3-8 business days depending on location and order volume. If you have requested spooling on your reel or rigging on your lures then it could take an additional day or two. Next day & 2 day shipping is available on most domestic orders (for an additional charge). Orders placed after 12pm Pacific Standard Time will be processed the next business day.

What carriers do you ship with?

We work with UPS, FedEx, US Postal Service and GLS. When your order qualifies for free shipping or has a rod that qualifies for discounted shipping we reserve the right to choose which carrier it is sent with, otherwise you can pick the service you want. UPS Ground ranges from 1 to 7 day delivery, USPS Priority Mail is typically 1-3 days but is not a guaranteed express service, and USPS Ground Advantage takes roughly 3-7 business days. Longer rods are generally sent via GLS unless otherwise specified, this service ranges from 1 - 10 days.

The new Saltist MQ’s are a great addition to Daiwa’s lineup of reel. They slot right in between the Saltist and Certate SW giving people more of a price range when shopping around for a spinner. These are available in the most variety of sizes out of any other Daiwa reel making them the perfect reel for anything from ultralight surf fishing to using big poppers for 200lb tuna. They have retained some of the key features from the original Saltist and upgraded it with the latest technology Daiwa offers. The new MQ frame design is a big step forward in reliability and weight reduction, the frame is one piece and there’s a lot less places for water intrusion making these a lot more saltwater resistant. The next big upgrade from this comes in the form of a larger main gear, they can stuff a much bigger gear size which makes these more powerful and more reliable on top of that they use the better machined aluminum gear material as opposed to a cast alloy on the original Saltists. Another feature making its way down to the Saltist from their higher end models is the carbon fiber Zaion rotor which it shares with the Certate SW and the last generation Saltiga lineup. This not only makes the rotor lighter but also significantly stronger than the one used on the current Saltist.

Overall these are a great higher end alternative that lets you get the higher end features without spending $1000. The extra variety of sizes makes these great for any application and style of fishing, you can have a set of different reels for many different styles of fishing from fresh to saltwater.
