Delivery & Shipping

Do you offer free shipping?

We offer free domestic shipping on most orders over $150 subtotal. This excludes oversized and bulky items such as rods, blanks, gaffs, some tackle boxes, lobster nets, landing nets and other large items. Any 1 piece rod over 7'10" in length often incurs the biggest oversize fees charged by domestic shipping companies although we do have lower rates via other carriers on the West Coast. Any additional shipping fees will be automatically calculated at checkout before any billing is done.

What countries do you ship to?

We currently ship products within the US and to almost every country in the world, covering all available destination via UPS and DHL. International shipping times depend on the products and destination. Shipping rates are automatically calculated at checkout, for most countries we also collect Duties and Taxes and prepay them so you do not have to deal with the carrier or customs.

How long will it take to get my order?

Standard shipping can take 3-8 business days depending on location and order volume. If you have requested spooling on your reel or rigging on your lures then it could take an additional day or two. Next day & 2 day shipping is available on most domestic orders (for an additional charge). Orders placed after 12pm Pacific Standard Time will be processed the next business day.

What carriers do you ship with?

We work with UPS, FedEx, US Postal Service, GLS and DHL. When your order qualifies for free shipping or has a rod that qualifies for discounted shipping we reserve the right to choose which carrier it is sent with, otherwise you can pick the service you want. UPS Ground ranges from 1 to 7 day delivery, USPS Priority Mail is typically 1-3 days but is not a guaranteed express service, and USPS Ground Advantage takes roughly 3-7 business days. Longer rods are generally sent via GLS unless otherwise specified, this service ranges from 1 - 10 days.

Prop 65 Warning ⚠

The Saltiga SK is Daiwa’s take on the Japanese slow-jigging profile: a short, wide, symmetrical body that does its work on the fall rather than on the retrieve. Drop it and it falls, spins and flutters on the way down, which is where most of the bites come from. Once it reaches bottom or whatever depth you’re marking fish, you can simply start winding — the SK keeps a swimming action under a straight retrieve, kicking and slapping its way back up through the water column.

That combination is what makes it easy to fish. You don’t need a practiced slow-pitch cadence to get something out of it: a controlled drop and a steady wind will produce, and rod work on the way up gives you more to work with when fish want it. The symmetrical body means it recovers and flutters between strokes instead of hanging dead in the water.

It comes rigged with a double assist hook — a 9/0 twin assist on the 250 g — so it is ready to clip on and drop. No separate hook purchase, and no guessing at the right size for the jig.

Where the 250 fits on this coast

At 250 g the SK is a deep-water and heavy-current tool. It is the size you reach for on the deep rockfish and lingcod grounds, on the offshore banks, and any time drift speed or depth makes a lighter jig useless. It handles yellowtail and other pelagics holding deep just as well as it does bottom fish. Lighter SK sizes cover shallower structure — this one is built for water where you need to get down fast and stay in contact.

The color range is split between natural and visibility. Sardine and the pink and blue-pink finishes cover clear water and daylight; the glow patterns — Glow Pink, Zebra Glow, Glow Dot, Zebra Orange and the solid Super Glow — are there for depth, low light and dirty water, where a charged jig is often the difference.

Key Features

  • Japanese slow-jigging design — the fall does the work
  • Falls, spins and flutters on the drop to trigger reaction strikes
  • Swims on a straight retrieve — kicks and slaps back up through the column
  • Symmetrical center-profile body that keeps moving between rod strokes
  • Ships with a 9/0 double assist hook — rigged and ready to fish
  • Nine finishes spanning natural baitfish patterns and heavy glow
  • 250 g — the deep-water and strong-current size in the SK range

Specifications: Metal jig, 5.8" body, fishes from the surface to the bottom. Includes a 9/0 double assist hook. Model series SA-SK250G.

Note: Daiwa shoots one photo set for the whole SK range, so the studio images show the pattern rather than the exact size — a few carry a smaller weight stamp on the body. Colors and finishes are accurate; every listing here is the 250 g.
