Delivery & Shipping

Do you offer free shipping?

We offer free domestic shipping on most orders over $150 subtotal. This excludes oversized and bulky items such as rods, blanks, gaffs, some tackle boxes, lobster nets, landing nets and other large items. Any 1 piece rod over 7'10" in length often incurs the biggest oversize fees charged by domestic shipping companies although we do have lower rates via other carriers on the West Coast. Any additional shipping fees will be automatically calculated at checkout before any billing is done.

What countries do you ship to?

We currently ship products within the US and to almost every country in the world, covering all available destination via FedEx Express and UPS. International shipping times depend on the products and destination and rates are automatically calculated at checkout.

How long will it take to get my order?

Standard shipping can take 3-8 business days depending on location and order volume. If you have requested spooling on your reel or rigging on your lures then it could take an additional day or two. Next day & 2 day shipping is available on most domestic orders (for an additional charge). Orders placed after 12pm Pacific Standard Time will be processed the next business day.

What carriers do you ship with?

We work with UPS, FedEx, US Postal Service and GLS. When your order qualifies for free shipping or has a rod that qualifies for discounted shipping we reserve the right to choose which carrier it is sent with, otherwise you can pick the service you want. UPS Ground ranges from 1 to 7 day delivery, USPS Priority Mail is typically 1-3 days but is not a guaranteed express service, and USPS Ground Advantage takes roughly 3-7 business days. Longer rods are generally sent via GLS unless otherwise specified, this service ranges from 1 - 10 days.

Prop 65 Warning ⚠

Our newest line of needle products are our DaHo Reverse Latch Splicing Needles. The design for these products came from Jerry Brown, a pioneer in the development of hollow spectra fishing lines. We appreciate his design as this product brings some unique features and ease of use characteristics that we try to provide in all our products. Below is a picture showing the ends of the new DaHo Reverse Latch Needle in detail:

In the past, one of the first tools available to work with hollow spectra lines were latch needles that originally came from fabric knitting machines. They are still used today, but our Reverse Latch needle is the only tool available that uses the latch mechanism as it was designed to be used – to be pulled through the line, keeping the latch mechanism closed by the line’s internal pressure. Without our ‘reverse’ use of the latch mechanism, the old knitting machine latch needles have to be pushed into the hollow spectra lines causing to latch to open, and usually resulting in significant damage the line’s fibers.

Many of the loop creation and splicing techniques require that a line be released by the tool, while it is threaded up another line. Normal loop splicing needles will not work in these situations as they cannot release a line from the loop. In those types of operations, our DaHo Reverse Latch Splicing Needles allow the latch to open, releasing the held line, when needed. Also, since they are now attached to our standard 6″ needles, so you can now make longer loops and splices without the limitations of the old latch needles. With our Reverse Latch needle, the latch is always the trailing end of the tool.
