Delivery & Shipping

Do you offer free shipping?

We offer free domestic shipping on most orders over $150 subtotal. This excludes oversized and bulky items such as rods, blanks, gaffs, some tackle boxes, lobster nets, landing nets and other large items. Any 1 piece rod over 7'10" in length often incurs the biggest oversize fees charged by domestic shipping companies although we do have lower rates via other carriers on the West Coast. Any additional shipping fees will be automatically calculated at checkout before any billing is done.

What countries do you ship to?

We currently ship products within the US and to almost every country in the world, covering all available destination via FedEx Express and UPS. International shipping times depend on the products and destination and rates are automatically calculated at checkout.

How long will it take to get my order?

Standard shipping can take 3-8 business days depending on location and order volume. If you have requested spooling on your reel or rigging on your lures then it could take an additional day or two. Next day & 2 day shipping is available on most domestic orders (for an additional charge). Orders placed after 12pm Pacific Standard Time will be processed the next business day.

What carriers do you ship with?

We work with UPS, FedEx, US Postal Service and GLS. When your order qualifies for free shipping or has a rod that qualifies for discounted shipping we reserve the right to choose which carrier it is sent with, otherwise you can pick the service you want. UPS Ground ranges from 1 to 7 day delivery, USPS Priority Mail is typically 1-3 days but is not a guaranteed express service, and USPS Ground Advantage takes roughly 3-7 business days. Longer rods are generally sent via GLS unless otherwise specified, this service ranges from 1 - 10 days.

Prop 65 Warning ⚠

Whenever I head off to Catalina and I see the flying fish coming out of the water I have great confidence in the day's fishing. When the water is right for the fliers you know the water's right for the fish that feed on 'em.  Marlin, big tuna... they like flying fish! They're at the bottom of the food chain when it comes to a BIG gamefish's lunch menu. Frenzy produced a wonderful flier, the Ballistic Flying Fish.  The Ballistic Flier is perfectly suited for use as a teaser or stand-alone bait.  Rig a half dozen in a daisy chain or spreader bar to really bring up the gamefish.  Another effective technique is to rig one above your trolling lure, use it as you would a birdie teaser.  But, the way most folks use these lures is to tie one straight onto your troll line as a hooked lure on the troll.  They are also effective rigged with a hook and used as a drop back bait.

When chumming or chunking, the Ballistic Flying Fish can be drifted back into your slick as an appealing target of opportunity for finicky fish.  Worked on top or suspended in the water column, the flying fish has a silhouette that all blue water gamefish cherish.  When live-baiting, a Ballistic Flying Fish can be rigged in front of your bait to add some commotion and serve as a marker to help manage your spread. And, as has been so well proven, a flier off a kite works very, very well! That technique was rediscovered in 2017 by a lot of West Coast fishermen seeking the nice grade of bluefin we've had off the coast for the past three or four years.  That trend continues for 2018, time to grab your kite and go fish'n!
