Well, there's really little to report on this page at present. For those
long familiar with CharkBait, this page really represents the beginning of
our tale. This page was used to post local fishing reports, trips, fishing
with friends. This is how we started, while I dutifully worked a day-job.
We gained some notoriety as one of the first internet destinations for
private boaters and party boat fisher-persons. As time went by, we began
offering some of our favorite tackle for sale as the first dedicated
saltwater oriented retailer on the web. We opened a web-store, then a
warehouse which was open to the public once a month or so, and later a
retail shop. But, this page was really my personal blog and more personal
in orientation than the rest of our site. On this page I posted fishing
stuff, but also personal tales such as the passing of my dad, the
courtship of my wife (and a few dating pitfalls related to other gals I
discovered along the way). This page introduced me to many great friends,
who were supporters of this one-man enterprise. And, those great friends
helped us to become a pretty darn significant player in the world of
purveyors of sportfishing gear. Those great friends also helped me end one
career and begin another - for which I am very grateful.
The image links below provide a bit of history,
not so much of fishing but of what's directed the past few years of my
personal side of things. Through these images comes an explanation about
why I've been off the water, and why this page has taken second fiddle in
terms of my priorities. These priorities will not doubt shift as time
allows me to get back to fish'n more...and changing diapers less. But,
I've been a bit busy with another side of life lately...and that's why
this page has been somewhat neglected.
