These are some of the strongest blanks in the UC line, consisting of a 9-Ply design with 6 layers of graphite and 3 layers of fiberglass, the durability and action of these blanks is unparalleled in the market.

The Challenger Xtreme Composite Rail Rods are an anomaly. They are a complete departure from the other blanks on the market designed for the same use. These purpose built rods have a smaller tip ,more recoil and more lifting power. These new designs are in the form of 5 new 7’6” models. Each of the new blanks is actually different from the original 7’ models. The patterning and tooling was changed to allow for a slightly different action to accommodate the angler at a slightly longer length. These models have become the go to for big tuna fishing on the Long range type boats.
