I
first encountered Strike
Pro lures while on a long range trip. One of the other fishermen
had
one of their lures out when we were trolling for wahoo. It
proved effective, caught fish, and held up well despite bringing
in the best fish of the day. I liked the way the lure looked, and
it also tracked very well since it has a broad flat head. It was a
bit heavier than the standard marauder-style lure, and harder from what I could tell. Well, there were reasons for the observation.
These lures are made from real wood, CYPRESS wood, to be exact.
They use a heavy duty one piece stainless steel interior wire
harness which is connected to stainless steel ball bearing swivels
with forged VMC hooks. Couple the construction with colorful laser
finishes, 3D laser eyes, and the heavy-duty interior construction,
you get a super strong lure that will prove effective for long
term use. They swim well, given their larger than standard
flat
head. They are also a bit heavier than their competition, so
they'll maximize their depth. The larger models are built for trolling
for wahoo, king mackerel, tuna and mako sharks. The smaller models
can be trolled or used for sight casting to wahoo, tuna or kings.
These lures also feature an internal rattle. Couple the sonic
attraction, light reflection, hydrodynamic shape, realistic
appearance, and you've got yourself a very productive package!

Below you will see the quality advantage of Strike Pro lures. The
top photo is of our competitor's big game trolling lure. It is a
foam filled, injection molded lure. After five strikes from big
Texas wahoo, you will see that the lure is mostly destroyed and
unusable. The fish penetrated the foam all of the way to the wire
harness. Also note that the hooks used by our competitor are
showing corrosion after only one fishing trip. When paying $32+ for
a big game lure, durability becomes quite an important
consideration.
The second photo is of a
Strike Pro Wahoo Hunter lure used on the same fishing trip. The
Wahoo Hunter also sustained the vicious attacks of five big wahoo. You
will notice that the Cypresswood construction of the Wahoo Hunter
held up much better than the plastic of the competitor's lure.
There is only one chunk of wood missing from the lure and it still
runs as true as the day it was bought. Unlike our competitor's
lure, the Wahoo Hunter is ready for more fishing trips. Our welded
eye, VMC hooks also stood up to the saltwater much better than our
competitor's hooks.

Strike Pro Tuna Hunter Popper
Watching a game fish crash a
surface-trolled or cast plug is one of the most thrilling
images of offshore angling. Strike Pro offers a series of top
water popping plugs designed to drive tuna crazy. Tuna Hunter
Poppers are a superior floating, long-casting plug with

We
have added a new smaller size Tuna Hunter Jr. to our mix, as
well as an exciting new color (Bunker - which also mimics a
Spanish Mackerel well). The new lures are smaller, at six
inches and weigh in at a solid 2 ounces. They too are made
from Cypress wood, so they are dense, strong, and cast great!
You can compare sizes below, the shape is also a little
different a bit more slim in the waist, but both feature a
nice concave mouth for great gurgling and bubbles.

Flex Phantom and Flex-X Lures from Strike Pro
These are the nicest lures of their kind
I've seen. Great color patterns and terrific swimming
action offer anglers something new to present to wake up sleepy,
lethargic fish. More simplistic, basic broken back lures
have been on the market for years. They've proven
to have a strong ability to attract a strike, especially when a slower
retrieve is necessary to get action. Besides a GREAT finish and
attention to detail, the new Strike Pro lures are weighted and jointed
in such a way as to make them almost snakelike in their flexing-wiggling
action. They feel like they'll flip/crawl their way right out of your
hand, they are so lifelike. They are also strong. Unlike tossing a
plastic (effective in great part because of it's action) the Strike Pro

The Flex series of lures are made for cast and
retrieve style fishing, inshore and light offshore use. Yes, they can be

Strike
Pro's Flex Phantom is a larger bodied lure,
going from 3.5" all the way up to over 7 inches
in length. These meety lures have some heft, are
rugged and have GREAT action in the water.
You'll be impressed with their natural swimming
action, very fluid and almost snakelike. They
have a built in rattle and variable weight
chamber to allow proper lure orientation on
retrieve and at rest. In the hands of someone
with a little bass fishing experience using
crankbaits or minnow imitations, you'll feel
right at home...catching larger and more
aggressive fish. Use the smallest 3.5" lure for
targeting bass instead of plastics. You'll be
saving a few bucks by the end of the day since
the lures hold up, you'll also be catching some
fish!
