Do you offer free shipping?
We offer free domestic shipping on most orders over $150 subtotal. This excludes oversized and bulky items such as rods, blanks, gaffs, some tackle boxes, lobster nets, landing nets and other large items. Any 1 piece rod over 7'10" in length often incurs the biggest oversize fees charged by domestic shipping companies although we do have lower rates via other carriers on the West Coast. Any additional shipping fees will be automatically calculated at checkout before any billing is done.
What countries do you ship to?
We currently ship products within the US and to almost every country in the world, covering all available destination via FedEx Express and UPS. International shipping times depend on the products and destination and rates are automatically calculated at checkout.
How long will it take to get my order?
Standard shipping can take 3-8 business days depending on location and order volume. If you have requested spooling on your reel or rigging on your lures then it could take an additional day or two. Next day & 2 day shipping is available on most domestic orders (for an additional charge). Orders placed after 12pm Pacific Standard Time will be processed the next business day.
What carriers do you ship with?
We work with UPS, FedEx, US Postal Service and GLS. When your order qualifies for free shipping or has a rod that qualifies for discounted shipping we reserve the right to choose which carrier it is sent with, otherwise you can pick the service you want. UPS Ground ranges from 1 to 7 day delivery, USPS Priority Mail is typically 1-3 days but is not a guaranteed express service, and USPS Ground Advantage takes roughly 3-7 business days. Longer rods are generally sent via GLS unless otherwise specified, this service ranges from 1 - 10 days.

Rainshadow has made top of the line 2-piece popping rod blanks for a while now, they have a ton of power and have a great action for working poppers as well as the added benefit of being able to be broken down for travel. Since we like the two piece design so much we decided to get them wrapped both in spinning and conventional guide layouts since these are very useful rods for all sorts of applications where travel length is a concern. The lighter 80MH model is rated 30-60lb and we think it will fish every bit of that, the tip is light enough to cast smaller jigs and lures while the backbone gives you enough pulling power to bring in some bigger fish. The heavier 80H model is rated 50-100lb and we think it will be a great 60lb and 80lb heavy casting and bait setup in the conventional layout, while still being an excellent popping rod for the biggest 6-12oz poppers in the spinning layout.
These rods come with Alps aluminum reel seats so you never have to worry about your reels coming off. Both rods feature Alps stainless guides which are corrosion resistant and braid ready so you won’t have any issues with casting or winding your line through. We chose to use EPDM soft foam grips which are both comfortable to grip but also long enough to spread your arms out to cast. When broken down the longest piece is a bit under 67″ and the shorter piece is about 34″ so it will fit in a 6ft rod case for travel, and if you ever need to ship these across the country you won’t be hit with crazy oversize fees since these have an overall length of 8 feet.
