The Surface Cruiser for 2015 and beyond is an update on a long time favored lure in the “pencil popper” style. It can be fished with a stop and pop, walk the dog or skipping action on a fast retrieve. Yo-Zuri has perfected their weight for long distance casting. These durable lures will catch a wide range of gamefish like tuna and dorado, but are also excellent on roosterfish, striped bass, bluefish, jack crevalle and others. The new lures make use of the color change technology, but does so to a lesser extent than the previous generation. The body material is a significant upgrade over previous generation lures, thru wire constructed with 3X hooks. Now they are quite a bit more realistic in their pricing. Two sizes, R1172 is 6″ 150mm, 1 5/8 oz or 45 gm. The R1173 is 7 1/2 inches 190mm and weighs 3 ounces or 85 gms.
