For the Inshore Enthusiast, we’ve received the new UC Swimbait Finatic series rods from United Composite, the much desired UC 711’s are coming off the line. UC has expanded the offerings of 711’s, adding some heavier models to the line in recognition of use of some much larger and heavier swimbaits now being used by some Calico Bass anglers here on the West Coast. As well some of our East Coast Tilefish guys will find the heaviest model VERY interesting for their unique fishing style. In 8 foot form this is called the TileFish, but here they’re going to be used tossing the largest and heaviest lures to calicos, might see some wahoo duty too. UC Dual Helix designs on all rods in this series. The 711 has almost cult like status for those fishing bass, it really was my own first introduction to UC (in those days GUSA) rods – and the memory stuck. Wonderful pieces, skinny diameters, excellent and well thought out actions.
