Okuma expanded their Nomad series to include some excellent inshore models featuring a split grip, OC9 Technology – offering increased durability from graphite blanks and carbon outer wrap. This construction is unique and proprietary in nature, and should be something well received by fishermen as time goes one. All models are 7 feet in length, all offer 2 tip sections for expanded application (example, Medium and Medium Light tips included) and all are 3 piece designs. The waterproof travel bag is of nice construction, and the rods ALL FEATURE European Spigot Ferrule design for added durability and the feel of a one piece rod. Excellent construction, excellent design and equally excellent value with these dandy products from Okuma.
The Okuma Inshores use ALPS components, with two tone blue and silver anodizing color, a trigger on the baitcasting/conventional rods and no trigger on the spinners (of course). The ALPS guides feature Zirconium inserts for Spectra/braid friendliness and durability. The grips are made from cork for sensitivity and light weight. Nomad Inshore Travel rods are backed by a limited lifetime warranty. Jeeze these guys keep getting things right!
