Well, in the world of tough poppers, capable of dealing with the toughest fish in any sea, Nomad developed the Chug Norris (Yep, its a play on Chuck’s tough guy persona). The Chug Norris is tough, they’re not thru wired – the darn things have a machined stamped stainless steel plate inside the hard durable foam core construction. It’s one of the strongest and toughest lures made, and is up to any challenge. Understand, these lures were designed from the ground up to deal with HUGE GT’s, tuna and kings. You’ll get a huge pop out of these lures due to the unique body shape and hydrodynamic design. You can work the lure for both big and subtle small pops, even twitching it across the surface. Each lure has been designed for for its intended use, in this case big, tough GT’s. They are made to be very well balanced and tested to work perfectly with the chosen single BKK hooks. 180mm, 120gm.

The Chug Norris was designed to take the least amount of effort to achieve maximum results, it makes that awesome thumping ‘pop’ as the cup catches the waters surface. It sticks to the waters surface, reducing the dreaded popper tumble and it casts like a bullet. When subsurface the Chug Norris displays an awesome swimming action that just makes fish go wild.
The ultra deep cup face designed round at the bottom and square at the top, and curved body contours may not be the noticed at first, but these subtle attributes are what makes this lure unique. The Black Mamba colour caught a 60KG GT in its first week of testing at Jewell Reef in September of 2014, and has since developed a cult following among Nomad guides and guests.
Built from a new HD ABS plastic with the highest strength to weight ratio you’ll find in any lure manufacturing material. The 180mm/120g size features an extra thick outer shell and stainless steel metal plate, the body is then filled with foam for the ultimate in strength and durability.
