The TK23’s bring the benefits of their unique point design to jigging enthusiasts. One of the downsides to vertical jigging has been the lack of better quality hooks. There have been a few, very few. Most assist hooks have had good but not great hooks attached to the braid. Some were pretty much garbage hooks at a cheap price, you figure the cost of a quality hook plus labor time in making an assist hook – even offshore labor time – there are no really good $3-4 assist hooks in my estimation. Better to use something better…. Those anglers wanting improved quality assist hooks had to make ’em. I’ll still suggest that that’s the best way to get exactly what you want in terms of both hook and length. But, if you’re not going to make your own, and you want better hooks… Eagle Claw Assist hooks are a custom quality product at a reasonable price.
The hooks come two to a pack, with 2 split and 2 solid rings. They’re rigged on thin diameter 200# braid, 1 and 1/2 inch in length.
