Daiwa’s Seagate series reels are basically a bit of a “tweener.” They share some of the same features that have made their Sealine and Saltist reels so very popular over the years. The reels are a very reasonable $149, and we do our part to enhance that affordability factor stick by including free mono spooling and free shipping. The new reels have corrosion proof composite frames and side plates. You have helical cut bronze gears for smooth powerful cranking, all at a 6:1 speed. There are three CRBB corrosion resistant bearings plus a roller bearing, anodized aluminum spool, and carbon fiber drag washers. There’s even a centrifugal spool brake! Very solid features and specs coupled with a reasonable price point make the new Seagate reels something well worth considering.
