The Saltist Levelwind series has been refreshed again, brought back in a new color scheme with the same great specs and longevity of the older silver and black models. The larger sizes are excellent for bottom fishing while the smaller sizes have found a home in the salmon trolling scene, they are light weight and smooth compared to a lot of the comparable models from the competition. The smaller 20 and 30 sizes come with the classic counter-weighted handle while the larger 40 and 50 come with the standard power handle from the original silver and black/gold Saltists.
Saltist LW feature 5 ball bearings (2CRBB+2BB+2RB) for smooth performance and a 6.1:1 or 6.4:1 gear ratio depending on the model. Line per handle turn retrieve rate is 35 or 47.2 inches per rotation while reel weights range from 18.5 to 24 ounces. The series also accommodates impressive line capacities ranging from 12/420 to 40/310 for mono and from 40/260 to 50/630 for Daiwa J-Braid. Max drag runs from 15.4 pounds for size 20 and 30 reels to 20-pounds for size 40 and 50 models.
