The Rail Dawg has been around for a while, originally created by Bill “Salty Dawg” Havens and now owned and distributed by Batson Enterprises. These are very durable and easy to use grips for guys trying to wrap a rail rod, they’re as easy to fit as any hypalon or EPDM grip since they have room to expand unlike EVA. The cork tape + cold shrink method not only is more time consuming but also more expensive, although some people might still prefer the ability to alter the length and diameter depending on which blank they’re using. We’ve used these an a large variety of rods built by Bill, and they have withstood the test of time.
These are a great all in one package and make it a breeze to build a custom rail rod.
