Avet’s T-RX series reels are their best, their statement pieces made to blow the socks off all other big game reels on the market in terms of drag capability. These are their best reels, the T-RX 50W and 50 standard (narrow). These are 100# capable stump pullers. They use two drags, on either side of the spool (but are not in conflict with Accurate’s patent because of the manner in which they apply pressure). They are the only reel on the market than I am aware of that allows you to change the pre-set while the drag lever is engaged! These are Avet’s best big game reels.

Avet also produces a 30 series T-RX in wide only. These run $699. The 30’s don’t get the attention they used to given the more aggressive pricing on the 50’s and Avet’s recently introduced 30 3 speeds which offer a great deal of cranking power given the gearing options. But, for those trying to keep the weight down and the power up, the 30 wide TRx is a contender.
