 Yep,
it's true, Accurate has developed a line of rods. Normally we
think of Accurate as a pretty conservative operation, but I'm
beginning to wonder. First they come out with smaller two-speed
reels which maximize their reels heavy drag and great casting
strengths. Now the further surprise us by coming out with rods; rods
that aren't terribly expensive! I'm just not sure what's going on
with the boys.
Here's the skinny on the new rods...which just happen to be
skinny too (they can even accommodate ALL of Accurate's Narrow, and
Narrow Narrow Boss reels! Amazed, again. The new Accurate XNERGY
rods are constructed from a six-ply graphite glass material that
gives the angler both sensitivity and strength, while offering a
reduced diameter rod that's extremely light. There are three classes
of rods that include the Boss Series of conventional rods in 6'6"
and 7' lengths. Boss Jig rods come in both conventional and spinning
guides, and theirs a line of SR Spinning rods designed with
Accurate's SR12, SR20 and SR30 in mind.
 All
XNERGY rods feature "Floating Fulcrum Design" a unique fast to
slower action that well suits braided non-stretch lines,
specifically SPECTRA. Of course they work well with mono, but given
a lack of stretch with Spectra, it's often good to have a somewhat
parabolic action rod (to avoid pulling a hook, and to avoid angler
fatigue). The harder you pull on these rods, the less stress that is
put on you, and more pressure to be delivered to the fish! The rods
are very powerful, lightweight, and built to make your fishing time
more enjoyable. You'll notice that the rods are fairly thin in
design, similar to the Graphite USA rods we sold a few years ago.
That helps make them feel a little more responsive. They have a very
nice and subtle silver with red wrap which goes well with both our
own custom Red reels and Accurate's own silver anodizing.
Surprisingly these are nice rods to fish, and not hard on the pocket
book. The rods run under $300! Accurate is having this line built
overseas, they are not produced in the U.S.A., but they are
Accurate's own, and they stand behind the design...and of course the
warranty.

Accurate Fishing products,
manufacturer patented TwinDrag™ fishing reels, added another line of
rods to its growing selection of Xnergy rods, the “J Series”. These
rods feature the Accurate Xnergy Floating Fulcrum™ which by pulling
on the rod harder throughout the fight transfers pressure from the
angler to the game fish.
 These
rods are made of the same graphite / glass six ply material which
gives the rod added strength with very little weight. The new rods
come in three models and are all 7’9” in length. The models
include:
J7920 M Cork
Handle 15 – 30 lb mono
J7930MH Hypalon
Handle 20 – 40 lb mono
J7940H Hypalon
Handle 30 – 50 lb mono
 The J7920M was designed
for the inshore live bait fishery but can also be used to throw a
swimbait when necessary and is the ultimate light stick for school
size albacore.
The J7930MH has the power
to handle the bigger grade albacore and yellowfin tuna as well as
put the breaks to the local yellowtail hanging around a paddy or at
the islands.
 The J7940H offers the
angler the power for those 40 to 60 pound Bluefin tuna that show up
throughout the season and will handle the larger grade home guard
yellows as well as any other pelagic that might want to eat bait.
All these rods feature
silicone carbide guides with metal reels seats and a custom rubber
butt with gimbal slots. These rods are built for the California
angler and his seasonal needs throughout the year.

Our Chark-Sleeves are
a bit different than the one's above. They are
available in three sizes. The base of the
sleeve folds up onto the butt section of the
rod and then can be tied off. So, one size can
fit shorter rods with no problem. They are
made of 89% polyester and 11% lycra (like OJ's
gloves if you remember...). The material is
versatile, durable and quick drying. It's
super stretchy, and the micro polyester fabric
wicks away moisture - like those $60 golf
shirts. Nice product, nice price! These will
stretch up to one foot longer in length. So, a
5' will indeed fit a 6' rod, the 7 will
stretch to a tight 8.
