Upon placing  your order you'll receive an immediate confirmation via email. You are not billed at that time. We process orders manually, preferring to have a human actually check things over and contact you should there be questions. Within 24 hours of placing your order you will receive a follow-up email confirmation and final invoice reflecting your total charges (Monday-Friday). You are not billed until we actually send you your final invoice.  Orders shipped to CA addresses will have California Sales Taxes applied, out of state orders are tax free. Orders over $100 are shipped FREE!* Orders less than $100 are billed $8.50 for shipping. During the ordering process you can select expedited shipping if required. (Within the USA via UPS ground. International, and oversize/weight items will be billed for shipping and you will be sent an emailed invoice reflecting total charges prior to actual billing. We will not ship without you having had a chance to review the invoice).

Sunglasses are a necessity when you're on the water. Besides limiting the blinding effects of sunlight, sunlight that's double bright as a consequence of it's reflection on the water, you can end up with long term damage to your eyes if you don't take steps to minimize the harmful UV rays. We've worked with several manufacturers over the years, including Costa del Mar and others. While we still offer the Costa products at our shop, our favorite and best selling quality eyewear is from Ocean Waves. I say this for a few reasons. Costa and Ocean Wave produce excellent quality eyewear. In my opinion they're both the best in the business. But, Costa has gotten a bit carried away in terms of pricing. Their quality is no better than Ocean Wave, and Ocean Wave offers far better pricing for comparable quality lenses. Further, for those guys requiring corrected lenses Ocean Waves offers this option without breaking the bank...and we can supply the corrected lenses quickly! (More info on this option at the bottom of this page. Frame styles with the prescription option are noted by the RX symbol). In terms of style, Ocean Waves makes some great looking sunglasses, with varied frame designs to suite the most discriminating angler's tastes. They've got some very unique designs, with features and quality and value that can not be matched. That's our opinion, and that's based upon personal use.

Ocean Wave glasses feature silver nickel hinges to prevent corrosion, they have spring loaded temples to maximize comfort and fit. Most offer "wrapped" styling for fuller coverage and are contoured to maximize comfort. A few words about the lifetime warranty: With every purchase of Ocean Waves, you receive a lifetime warranty against manufacturers defects. Ocean Waves stands behind the product, and they take pride in it's craftsmanship. If your glasses break due to a quality issue, they'll replace 'em at no charge. Wear and tear is not covered, nor is improper or unreasonable use.

All featured glasses come with a nice case and lanyard. All lenses are glass, not a plastic, all mirror lenses are of a sandwich design so the mirror coating will not rub off... Lenses are ground in Japan, frames made in Japan and Italy. Ocean Waves glasses provide you with 100% UVA/B/C protection and balanced blue and infrared light to ensure no distortion of image, color or depth. Many of the lenses featured on these glasses utilize Ocean Wave's Backwater Green (excellent for lower light situations - great contrast - amber base with green mirror - best for inshore), or  Offshore Blue (stronger filtering of sunlight - gray base with blue mirror - best for offshore duty). We also have the Luminator lenses available on one of the models, and this provides excellent contrast for spotting kelp paddies, for instance (yellow base with purple mirror - made for low light conditions such as early morning or late evenings).  Personally, I tend to use my green lenses early and late in the day and my blues for mid-day use. We can of course special order the exact match you desire of frame and lense. The selection we arrived at covers the most popular bases and is held in our inventory for faster delivery times. Of course all of these glasses are polarized...to perfection! They are 100% polarized for UVA, B and C, they're anti-reflective and offer a limited lifetime warranty.

* RX - If you require corrected lenses, these are available in a timely and fashionable manner. We have Single Vision corrected lenses in both mirror and non-mirror formats. Bifocal lenses are non-mirror and available in both glass and plastic. Mirror format lenses are only available in glass. 

* Ocean Waves prescription lenses from the date of purchase have a 1 year warranty against manufacturer defects.
* All sales of prescriptions are final. Prescriptions cannot be returned for credit or exchange as they are custom made.
* Customers must provide us with a valid Doctor's copy of their prescription that is no more than two years old. The prescription must contain a PD (for all prescription types) and a SEG Height (for bifocal prescriptions) (This information should be faxed to our office at the time of ordering below - fax number 714-903-4449)
