Recap Red Rooster III Trip

Our four day charter turned out to be another great trip for the folks able to participate. Usually we try to target Guadalupe Island, about 240 miles south of San Diego and 140 off the coast of Mexico. There tuna fishing can be pretty darn good, and there's always the chance of seeing great white sharks gobble up their fair share of tuna too. This season Guadalupe had not "gone off" and reports from the island were less than exciting. But, we headed to Guadalupe anyway. The folks were rewarded with some good tuna fishing, with fish in the 50-60# range. As well, there were good scores of yellowtail. On the way back to port the boat looked for kelp paddy action and moved up to the albacore grounds to round out the trip.
